IT’S Back to School Season in the CNMI, and parents, students, teachers, and other stakeholders are ready to throw open classroom doors for the 2025-2026 school year.
Grace Christian Academy, Mount Carmel School, and Saipan International School all started their school year on Aug. 6, and the CNMI Public School System will start their year on Aug. 19.
In the meantime, we know that stores north, south, east, and west all over the Marianas are going to be busy with shoppers looking for deals on notebooks, pencil cases, clothing, and more to get students ready to rock the new year.
Marianas Variety did some shopping of our own, grabbing photos and collecting information about some sales you might want to look into as you’re preparing your special little scholars for their course loads.
Heads up: Modern Stationery and National Office Supply are having identical sales. Both locations offer 30% off storewide items, with 10% off bags.
At National Office Supply, white tags on items like notebooks, crayons, and scissors get the 30% discount, while orange-tagged items tell you they are priced regularly and the promo does not apply.
At the National Office Supply we spotted Jansport bags with a regular sticker price of $54.99, Everest backpacks at $17.99 before discount, Crayola crayons at $3.75, and way more to list here.
A little further down Beach Road, Modern Stationery has a different selection of Jansport backpacks in various sizes. Different price points we saw included a cargo green backpack for $36.95, sling bags for $31.95, a tie-die $49.95 backpack, a “slouch pack” in russet red for $44.95, and much more.
If you need some apparel at I Love Saipan, both the Garapan and Chalan Laulau locations are having back-to-school promos from Aug. 8 to 10.
All clothing is generally 20% off, with select items dropping between 30% and 70% in price.
All shoes are 75% off during the back-to-school sale. At the Chalan Laulau location, take 20% off all stationery.

Take 10% off footwear when you shop at The Athlete’s Foot, with apparel dropping by 15%. A special 25% discount applies to Puma apparel, with caps 15% off. Jordan’s are 5% off.
