A total of 61 participants, parents and teachers included, attended the meeting eager to hear what the school had to share about the upcoming school year.

The meeting was led by school president  Glenn Songcuan and principal Milagros Songcuan. Several topics were discussed in regards to the upcoming school year including the additional platform Zoom to be utilized for classrooms, the school’s preplanning for “hybrid” (online and on campus) education once permitted and the additional steps and trainings the school and staff have been taking to ensure the quality of education is met regardless of the new platforms.

Parents also had the opportunity to speak to the leadership team directly. A few voiced out their valid concerns regarding “hybrid” learning. While others showed their full support for the online curriculum. School president Glenn Songcuan assured the parents that “all perspectives and solutions are being considered” and “the children’s health and safety is our priority, but we must also maintain the standard of education you expect from us.” Close to 100 enrollments have been confirmed for the upcoming school year.

The school’s leaders touched base on GMS’s after school childcare program. Currently the program is put on hold until the government’s directive is amended.  Parents were also reminded that class advisers will schedule homeroom orientations prior to the official start date of classes.
