

(GMS) — Green Meadow School secured third place in the 27th Academic Challenge Bowl held in the Marianas High School cafeteria on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.
The GMS Falcons were represented in the competition by 5th graders James Kisa, Jadynn Palacios, and Jayden Rei Pulido, 4th grader Ian Noel Escarcha, and 3rd grader Kira George. The team was coached by teachers Nolaida Placino, Eve Pauline Silanga, Salma Lapuz, Madell Baylon, Matthew Vallo. The Falcons placed third out of the 12 schools that participated in the elementary level competition.
With the Falcons’ recent success, the Green Meadow School administration extends its sincerest gratitude to the parents and teachers for their unwavering support. GMS Principal Milagros Songcuan praised the remarkable teamwork that everyone involved showed, as this contributed to the students’ achievements. She also emphasized that early preparations for the competition played a crucial role in their success.
For years, Green Meadow School has remained steadfast in the values upheld by its guiding Bible verse: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6. This verse continues to inspire and shape the school’s commitment to nurturing students for a lifetime of learning and integrity.
