Administrators, faculty, and staff of Green Meadow School, doing business as Pure Love Daycare 1 & Pure Love Daycare 2, receive the QRIS STAR 2 Level Award at the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.
(GMS) — July 5, 2023, marked another GMS Pure Love Daycare 1 and 2 milestone. It was the most anticipated moment of all — the awarding of Star Level to a child care center.
Star levels are awarded to childcare centers that follow the guidelines for quality standards or QRIS, which stands for Quality Rating and Improvement System.
QRIS is a systemic approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early and school-age care. This ensures that quality care is given to every child in each daycare facility.
Erlaine Evangelista of Evergreen Learning facilitated the debriefing session at the MSV Building in Chalan, Kanoa. The session lasted for almost two hours, during which Evangelista did a rundown of all the progress and achievements of Pure Love Daycare’s respective programs for ITERS, ECERS, and SACERS. Both PLDs 1 and 2 bagged the Star 2 award. Star Level 2 signifies that PLDs 1 and 2 are on par when rendering childcare services.
Everybody was delighted and thankful for the results of the QRIS baseline, as all their sweat and hard work was finally validated.
PLD Director Milagros S. Songcuan was teary-eyed as she congratulated everybody. She said she was so grateful to all of the PLD staff for their hard work and dedication in providing the best quality childcare service to their students and parents.
The attendees of the event included PLD 1 and 2 staff, PLD Director Songcuan, CCDF Program Administrator Maribel Loste, and former CCDF Secretary Maggie Sablan.
