(MHS JROTC) — Following their remarkable performance in two rigorous phases of online competition, the Marianas High School JROTC Leadership Team has secured a coveted spot in the championship event in Washington, D.C.

Set to take place on the campus of the Catholic University of America on June 15-19, the 2025 U.S. Army JROTC Leadership Bowl Championship is proudly sponsored by the U.S. Army Cadet Command and organized by the esteemed College Options Foundation.

Outshining 1,441 Army JROTC leadership teams from around the globe, Marianas High School’s JROTC team emerged as one of only 40 teams nationwide to progress to the final competition, entailing an all-expenses-paid journey to the nation’s capital.

Significantly, this marks the Dolphin Battalion’s inaugural appearance at the U.S. Army JROTC Leadership Bowl Championship, and they are aiming higher than ever!

Throughout the adrenaline-fueled preliminary rounds, cadets underwent rigorous assessments covering a spectrum of topics, including current events, leadership values, skills, and financial literacy. Notably, financial literacy videos, generously sponsored by the USAA Educational Foundation, were integrated into Levels I and II of the online competition, enriching the cadets’ knowledge base.

The JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl stands as a beacon of national recognition, tailored exclusively for JROTC students. By actively engaging in this competition, cadets imbibe essential values of citizenship, embrace academic competition, and unlock avenues for higher education.

Driven by its unwavering commitment to nurturing the academic growth of high school students and     facilitating their transition to higher education, the College Options Foundation has tirelessly supported JROTC cadets worldwide for nearly two decades. Through a myriad of initiatives, including academic competitions, college exam study guides, admissions tutorials, and personalized counseling, the foundation continues to empower the nation’s JROTC cadets on their journey towards academic and leadership excellence.
