HAGÅTÑA (MCC) — The Micronesian Conservation Coalition is proud to announce the long-awaited return and 3rd Annual Ocean Gala scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
The gala is a night celebrating every action, big or small, that the community and businesses of Guam take each day to help respect and sustain the island resources and cultures of Micronesia. Because, to quote Vincent Van Gogh, “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.”
The “Starry Night” will consist of an artistic interpretation and celebration of the efforts of individuals for the impact of many toward the conservation of our oceans and island environments, including
• Showcase 2020-2023 MCC activity and impact
• Highlight the “Tide Changers” on our island
• Enjoy entertainment, food, live music, dancing, and more!
The evening raises funds for annual programs that allow MCC to do necessary research into our local reefs and fishes, provide education for students and the community, and advise businesses and military on how to safely proceed with planned projects to preserve both our land and ocean resources. Additionally, it helps raise awareness of the organizations that are examples of true partners in preserving our region.
Sponsors of the event include the Bank of Guam, Environmental Chemical Corporation (Coral Reef Sponsors), Future Smiles Orthodontics, Phenix Jet, and Unitek Environmental Guam (Open Ocean Sponsors). Additional sponsorship space is available for businesses interested in partnering to help further MCC’s cause to preserve Micronesia’s resources and culture.
Tickets to the event will be available for purchase online for all interested community members starting Week of April 4. Cost is $150 per person or a table of 10 for $1,400. Sign up for the event and to be contacted directly when tickets are released at https://fb.me/e/6nlBQbVS9/.
