‘Our employees are the heart of Marianas Variety’

FOR decades now, Marianas Variety has been a part of the local community, and we credit our employees for sustaining us through all the years. For today’s Labor Day, we honor their many contributions that have helped sustain the company through the years.

“Our employees are the heart of Marianas Variety,” says company President Amier Younis. “We wouldn’t be celebrating 52 years of operation in our community were it not for our hardworking staff across all our departments. Their teamwork, resilience, and positive attitudes make us who we are.”

As a special feature for today’s holiday, we reached out to a few of our employees.

Rosalie Ramos

Rosalie Ramos

Rosalie Ramos first joined the Marianas Variety team 27 years ago, and today is the production supervisor.

“The people here have become my family,” Ramos says of her experience at Marianas Variety. She added she was thankful for the “opportunity to step up” in her department after decades at Variety.

Enrique Cavinta

Enrique Cavinta

Enrique Cavinta has been at Marianas Variety for eight years and gives a special shout out to Laila and Paz, agreeing with Ramos that he feels the “family” atmosphere at the company.

“I started part-time but was given the opportunity to go full-time, and I’m still here so I can apply my knowledge at our printing press,” he said.

Jeanette Sarabia

Jeanette Sarabia

For 28 years, Jeanette Sarabia has been a vital part of the Marianas Variety family. If your business ever needed an advertisement placed in the newspaper, or if your government office has paced a public notice with us, you’ve probably worked with her.

She says she stayed with Marianas Variety to “follow my passion in advertisement and marketing,” as well as support her family.

Aside from a healthy amount of veteran media and production employees, Marianas Variety is also training the next generation to one day lead the paper.

Kyle Orejola

Kyle Orejola

Kyle Orejola, a circulation supervisor, joined Marianas Variety late in 2023. He says he’s found work-life balance in his position.

“I have been in the Food and Beverage industry since I started working and was looking for a job that has a balance of office work and field work and this position does exactly that,” he said.

For all employees new and old, thank you for your contributions to the workforce!

Happy Labor Day from Marianas Variety!
