MEMBERS of the community looking to begin or continue their higher education journey are encouraged to register for Northern Marianas College’s fall 2025 semester through NMC’s new online registration system, Portal+.
The new platform replaces the previous Proa Portal and offers a more streamlined, user-friendly experience for students. With an intuitive interface and enhanced features, Portal+ streamlines the process of registering for classes, checking academic records, and managing student accounts.
Fall 2025 classes at NMC begin on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025. The application deadline for new students is Aug. 8, 2025. Students are strongly encouraged to register early, as classes are expected to fill up quickly.
To access Portal+, continuing students who were enrolled as of summer 2025 can log in to portal.marianas.edu using their Microsoft 365 credentials via their student email accounts. New students, or those who have not attended since Summer 2024, must first apply for admission at marianas.edu/apply before using Portal+.
Additionally, as part of the new registration process, all eligible students are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid before registration. Up to $7,395 is available in federal financial aid per year for qualified students.
Current students who need help with registration or Portal+ access can visit Project PROA at Building O (Archives) or submit a ticket through the NMC Student Helpdesk. Before registering, students should also check their “Stop List” on the portal to clear any outstanding holds related to financial aid, academic advising, or other requirements. More information, along with a step-by-step registration guide, is available at www.marianas.edu/register/.
For more information, email the Office of Admissions and Records at oar@marianas.edu or call (670) 237-6728. The Office of Admissions and Records is open Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
