ROTA (CNMI SBDC) — The Rota Small Business Development Center at the Northern Marianas College Rota Center, in partnership with the Bank of Guam, proudly announces the success of its recent workshop, “Business Financing Unlocked: Working Your Way Towards Loan Approval Success!” held on Oct. 18, 2024. This insightful event provided local entrepreneurs with essential knowledge and tools to navigate the business loan application process.
Kalistus Rengiil, credit manager of the commercial banking group of the Bank of Guam, led the workshop and offered expert guidance on the key criteria lenders consider during loan applications. Attendees were given in-depth insights into financing options, enabling them to make informed decisions about securing funds for their businesses.
Charlene M. Ogo, director and business advisor of Rota SBDC, emphasized the importance of such collaborations. “Access to funding is often one of the biggest challenges for our small business owners. By working closely with Bank of Guam, we can offer invaluable resources that empower our local entrepreneurs to succeed. The feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are thrilled to see the impact this workshop has had on our community.”
Armi Atalig, a local Airbnb business owner who attended the workshop, shared her experience: “The workshop with Bank of Guam gave me a clear understanding of the loan options available and what it takes to qualify. The practical information on financing and credit management will definitely help guide my business decisions moving forward.
