(SCS) — Saipan Community School is excited to announce its annual SCS Open House and Family Orientation Night, scheduled for this Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at 6 p.m. This opening event of our school year welcomes parents, students, and community members to get reoriented back into school and discover the excellence of education at SCS.
Attendees are asked to meet in the Chapel at 6 p.m. for a general assembly, which will include a brief introduction of the SCS teachers, staff, and administration and reminders of school norms, rules, and positive expectations before exploring the campus and seeing our classrooms.
We strongly encourage parents and students to take full advantage of this event by engaging with teachers in their respective classrooms. These interactive sessions will provide valuable insights into academic goals, curriculum, and co-curricular activities that enhance the student learning experience.
SCS is proud to showcase the continued transformations made to the Saipan Community Campus and the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. In addition to last year’s classrooms, music room, and library upgrades, this year, we have worked on prioritizing space for our art room and a student computer lab and started to make strides toward upgrading the lunch room. Following our goal to create inspiring and inviting spaces for students to thrive, we anticipate having everyone back on campus once our administrative offices are 100% complete and the pending FEMA projects are finalized!
Established in 1976 as the island’s first Protestant school, Saipan Community School offers a U.S. curriculum taught in English.
