(SCALC) — The Saipan Cubs Alpha Leo Club celebrated its first anniversary by inducting 19 new members and installing nine new officers on Aug. 5, 2023, at Saipan World Resort.
The newly installed president, Arnel Josh V. Coloma, said: “The power of change belongs in our hands. The youth face many challenges nowadays, and as Leos, we are here to advocate for the young generation and the future generation.”
Newly inducted member Silver Sabrina Ferrera said: “It felt really great, being inducted as a new member of the club since I will be able to help the community and make a difference.”
Lion Elle Enriquez, the advisor of the Saipan Cubs Alpha Leo Club, said: “Your leadership will bring about a vast experience in developing your social skills, finding opportunities to prove the wholesomeness of your club and making a positive impact through each individual act of service — you are definitely ‘Changing the World!’ ”
Lion Annabel O. Tudela, another advisor of the Saipan Cubs Alpha Leo Club, said: “Amid the numerous challenges faced by today’s young adults, our Leos strive relentlessly to be part of the club, showcasing their unwavering dedication, hard work, and initiative to assist others and uplift the community. Their commitment to community service is evident, matched only by their enthusiasm to support the Alpha Leos Club, which provides ample opportunities for personal growth and collective development within the community.”

“Leo” also stands for “Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity,” and the Saipan Cubs Alpha Leo Club is excited to help the community through projects that benefit the people.
