Belinda Kyota was summoned to appear in court today at 10 am to face the grand larceny, cheating and embezzlement charges.
Kyota was terminated in February after the management learned of the theft.The police affidavit submitted in court stated that on March 2 at 10 am, the finance manager of NDBP called the Criminal Investigation Section and reported that Kyota had been embezzling loan payments.The manager and the NDBP audit revealed that between the dates of November 28, 2008 and February 17, 2009, Kyota had taken approximately $1, 545.22 from the NDBP.The document stated that the money were payments of the banks customer on their outstanding loans.Kyota was employed in August of 2008 as a general office clerk.The affidavit stated that Kyota admitted during the interview with investigator that she took the money for customs and to help pay some bills.
