Leeroy Stanley Frano was ordered to appear at 10 am today in Melekeok courtroom to face his charges of aggravated assault, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
Frano was charged on April 1 for assaulting a man with a knife on March 23.The incident occurred at the Ocean nightclub in Medalaii.A court document stated that the defendant and the victim were engaged in argument when Frano attacked the victim with a knife.The document stated that the victim went to the nightclub after midnight of March 22.As the victim approached the club, he saw Frano who was with two other men on a bench.Then the victim saw that Frano move his hand to his side and raised it with something in it and strike the victim on the face and head.The victim ran to the bathroom to wash his face.The document stated that a witness saw the incident.The witness saw the defendant approached the victim and an argument ensued later.The witness saw Frano pulled out a knife and strike the victim three times in the face, head and hand.The victim was rushed to the hospital for serious injuries.
