THE Federal Bureau of Investigation declined to provide more information about the search warrant it executed at the Department of Public Safety and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles Friday afternoon.
Asked for comment, FBI Public Affairs Specialist James Curry, in an email early Tuesday morning, said, “We can’t share anything on this ongoing investigation at this time.”
FBI agents were seen at the BMV offices and later at the DPS IT department at around 3 p.m. Friday.
It was not known if the FBI was investigating CNMI driver’s licenses that were obtained through document fraud.
FBI agents were seen taking photos of documents in the DPS offices, but they did not take any documents.
