Fire department grants office burglarized

THE Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services’ grants office was burglarized, the NMI Crime Stoppers said.

On Aug. 21, 2023, at about 7:28 a.m., police received a call reporting a burglary at the DFEMS grants office. Responding officers discovered that the suspect(s) had broken into an office space window and stolen multiple items inside. 

These included a 65-inch LG flat-screen TV, an Echo water blaster, and a speaker. The estimated total value of the stolen items was $2,000.
