According to Schubert, the Micronesian Organizing Committee and PNOC have asked the German Embassy in Manila last May for assistance to purchase volleyball equipment for the 7th Micronesian Games, which Palau is hosting.
The Federal Foreign Ministry in Berlin has agreed to Palau’s requests. Through a grant financed by the ministries funds of Foreign Cultural and Education Politics, the German government funded the purchase of the volleyball equipment which is worth almost $5,000.
“On July 29 the volleyball equipment arrived in Palau and was installed at the Micronesian Games volleyball venue in Koror,” Schubert said.
Schubert officially handed over the volleyball equipment to PNOC President Frank Kyota.
