Members of the MY WAVE Club of Garapan Elementary School will be the guest performers at the Hyatt on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, starting at 5:30 p.m.
(Special Advertising Feature) — It is the 4th Friday of December and on deck at the Hyatt Regency Saipan on Dec. 23, 2022 will be the MY WAVE Club of Garapan Elementary School starting at 5:30 p.m. Hyatt hosts Christmas performances every Friday to help spread the Yuletide cheer to guests and members of the community.
According to teacher Evelyn Alarcon, the MY WAVE Club formed 12 years ago under the supervision of Mrs. Evelyn Alarcon and Mrs. Elsie Johnson. “The club has produced a lot of talents that participated in different community events such as Christmas in the Marianas, manamko’ visits, beach cleanups, street waving, and many more,” she said.
“Garapan Elementary School’s MY WAVE members are composed of students from second to fifth grades. Regular club’s meetings are held weekly on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs. Ronaleen Joy Yumul is one of the latest additions to the club as one of the coordinators,” she added.
MY WAVE Club’s repertoire will include a medley of old time favorites such as “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bell Rock” to name a few. The members of MY WAVE Club are not only talented singers, but dancers as well and they have prepared a special dance number for the crowd.
Christmas performances at the Hyatt happen every week. The event started on Dec. 2 with students from Saipan International School followed by Rhythm ‘N Harmony from Marianas High School and students and staff of Grace Christian Academy.
