GMS middle school Falcons fare well in regional competitions

GREEN Meadow School’s middle school students fared well in the regional competition of the National Junior Speech and Debate Association on Feb. 7-11, 2023, and in the Junior International Thespian Society on March 18, 2023 at Hopwood Middle School.

In the NJSDA, Louise Elesha Manansala placed second in the Declamation Finals and sixth in the Impromptu Speaking Finals. Paula Angela Bernardo placed 8th in Dramatic Interpretation and was a semi-finalist in Poetry Interpretation. Paul Andrei Bernardo advanced to the quarter finals of the Storytelling event.

For their part, Isabella Marie Mallari and Nelisa Nicole Acaba came in second in Duet Acting with a Superior Ranking in the Junior International Thespian Society Regional Competition. Acaba and Mallari were the CNMI’s representative in Duet Acting at the International Thespian Festival in Bloomington, Indiana last year.
