NMI Republican House candidate David “Randy” Reyes Sablan on Friday shared his platform that would “address the socio-economic well-being” of the public.
An employee of the Department of Finance-Procurement and Supply, Sablan is running with Commonwealth Women’s Association President Cecilia Taitano in Precinct 4.
He said he will continue to adjust his platform as he visits the voters of Precinct 4 and learn their concerns.
If elected, Sablan said his office would always be open to the people so he could meet them and hear their concerns.
He would also host a town hall meeting every three months “to inform the people of my progress, and to discuss the community’s concerns.”
Sablan said he would work with the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. to bring health and dental screenings to the people of Precinct 4.
He would likewise work with Northern Marianas College and the Northern Marianas Technical Institute “so that we may develop and implement a plan to better assist those in Precinct 4 who want to receive training or education.”
Moreover, he would “call for an assessment of existing community infrastructure and develop a plan to build or remodel infrastructure for our youth.”
“This is just the beginning,” he said. “I want to hear from the people. But these are the basic needs of our community, and I would work hard as your representative,” he added.
The other Precinct 4 House candidates are Rep. Joel Camacho and Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.’s Malcolm Omar who are running as independents.
Democratic Rep. Sheila Babauta, the other incumbent Precinct 4 House member, is not seeking reelection.
