While in Yap, the group will also be visiting officials in the government to discuss the issues concerning the use of Tobacco in the State.
Members of the health team include Susan White and Marybeth Welton, both from the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, and Shra Alik and Xner Luther of the FSM Department of Health.
The group has paid courtesy visit with Gov. Sebastian Anefal, following two separate meetings that they held earlier with Dominic Taruwemai, acting director of the Department of Health Services, and John Gilmatam, chief executive officer of Yap Community Health Center.
The group spent time this afternoon by visiting the Gagil community health center and other schools on the island that were selected for the visit.
The CDC and FSM team will continue their visits with other offices.
