Health Minister Stevenson Kuartei in an interview said that he aims to improve facility management, fiscal management, health information management, human resources management and planning and surveillance.
Kuartei said that the ministry is eyeing a College of Health, requiring all administrative personnel to have licenses.“We want a continuing administrative education and this will be done through a college of health,” Kuartei said.Kuartei added that the ministry has also started doing an inventory of the supplies.He added that the ministry is also aiming at reducing spending or at least try to stay within its budget.“We are aligning the ministry to make it more efficient,” Kuartei said.Kuartei added the Bureau of Public Health will be moving to the old President’s Office in Koror to give the bureau more space.He said the bureau situated in one place will ensure efficiency and better management.
