Arnold Milong who was charged with grand larceny and obstruction of justice pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice as charged in the count 14 of the information.
The grand larceny charge was dismissed in exchange of his guilty plea.
Milong was sentenced to two years of imprisonment but suspended except for one year and six months.
Associate Justice Alexandra Foster in her commitment order for Milong stated that the six-month is to run consecutive to all his other sentences.
Associate Foster said Milong will be on probation for one year and six months after he is release from jail.
His probation will run consecutive to all his other terms of probation and while on probation in all his cases, he will stay away from Toshiaki Matsunaga.
Milong was also ordered to seek a substance abuse evaluation from Bedochel clinic and after his evaluation he must complete any recommended treatment successfully.
Milong also agreed to testify truthfully against his co-defendants Marsei Orrukem and Alex Osilek.
Milong appeared for a plea hearing on November 6 and admitted that on September 6, 2009, he ran away from police officers when they were trying to approach him to talk to him.
Milong admitted that he knew that they were police officers when he ran.
Milong was charged along with Orrukem and Osilek for beating up a chef and for robbing his wallet.
Orrukem was charged with aiding and abetting grand larceny, aiding and abetting robbery, aiding and abetting petit larceny, assault and battery, drunk and disorderly conduct and malicious mischief while Osilek was charged with robbery, petit larceny, DUI, reckless driving and negligent driving.
The victim just got out from his car when approached and assaulted by Orrukem.
