Japanese students visit Palau

Yumi Kikuchi, one of the teachers from Katetsu Ariake said that she has encouraged her students to visit Palau .

Kikuchi said she has been a frequent tourist in Palau and that she wanted to share the experience to her students by bringing them here.

The group composed of 17 students in their ninth grade.Since the school is known for its environmental protection, the students donated pencils made of recycled materials.“I have dove in Palau many times. It has a beautiful environment and I want my students to come here,” Kikuchi said.She said “to see is to believe,” adding that she wants her students to experience Palau personally.The donation of pencils was handed over to Andrew Tabelual, of the Koror Elementary School.Aside from Kikuchi the students were accompanied by two more teachers.The students went camping at Ngemelis and kayaking at the Rock Island.Kikuchi said the next time the students return, they will plan a sports event with the other schools here.
