(MVA) — Japan video-on-demand channel CL has released two episodes about The Marianas this month featuring the recent visit of members of the Japanese hip-hop group DOBERMAN INFINITY.
The two episodes featuring group members GS and Sway enjoying their first trip post-pandemic were released free to viewers on June 1 and 3, 2023. DOBERMAN INFINITY first collaborated with the Marianas Visitors Authority in 2018 to promote the Marianas with the release of the official MVA song “Lookin’ For.” In 2019, the group was appointed as a Marianas Tourism Ambassador.
MVA supported the familiarization tour by securing filming permits. Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan also provided accommodations and meals, and Sakura Marine Sports offered complimentary marine activities to make the media tie-up possible.
“It was great to have members of DOBERMAN INFINITY back in the Marianas again to work with MVA in strengthening our tourism ties with Japan and sharing what Japanese travelers can enjoy when they visit,” said MVA Acting Managing Director Judy C. Torres.
“Collaboration with media such as tie-up and familiarization tours are an important part of the MVA’s overall marketing efforts and help us reach a large number of people with a reasonably small investment. The free CL episodes are a win-win for all, and we’re pleased for our continued long relationship with DOBERMAN INFINITY.”
In the two episodes, the DOBERMAN INFINITY duo made the most of their two-night trip to Saipan, taking in the Ataari Dinner Show at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, visiting Managaha, touring the scenic and historic sites of Marpi, having a SeaTouch marine animal encounter, snorkeling, water biking, and shopping at I Love Saipan and Marianas Creations. They also highlight the offerings of Kili Café and Skipper’s Bar at Hyatt Regency Saipan and Mari Bar at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, where they lodged.
