REPRESENTATIVE John Paul “Pacho” Palacios Sablan was unanimously elected vice chairman of the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation, succeeding the late Rep. Ivan Blanco who passed away in July last year.
The chairman of the Saipan delegation is Senate Floor Leader Vinnie Sablan while the delegation floor leader is Rep. Sheila Babauta.
During the delegation’s session on March 25, Rep. John Paul Sablan was nominated by Speaker Edmund S. Villagomez for the vice chairman’s position.
In an interview, Sablan said he is grateful to his fellow Saipan delegation members for their confidence in him, adding that he is honored by their unanimous support.
Sablan, who served as delegation chairman in the previous Legislature, said he is ready to work with his colleagues and “move forward.”
