The trip was made from Sept. 25 to 29.
The travel agents that toured Palau specialize in honeymoon and wedding packages.The trip’s purpose is to familiarize them with Palau as a tourist destination and what tourism services are available such as activities, accommodations, restaurants and others.The travel agents will then be drafting a report in support of the new route from Korean airlines charter flights between South Korea and Palau.The group started the visit with a city tour to both Belau National Museum and Etpison Museum, Etpison Museum, Palau International Coral Reef Center and various shopping centers and Tebang Woodcarving Shop. During the city tour, the group visited various hotels and resorts and talked with key people from their management teams.The group also toured the Rock Island for some snorkeling, body painting with white muddy clay at the Milky Way and concluded the tour at the Jellyfish Lake.The Korean market is the top three visitors to Palau and that the Korean Airlines new route flying directly from Korea to Palau.The new route is an opportunity to bring in more tourists to Palau because it will be an alternative travel route for people from Europe, China, and South Pacific to visit Palau.
