SENATE President Edith Deleon Guerrero, Senate Floor Leader Corina Magofna and Rep. Denita Yangetmai on Friday donated several items for Kagman High School’s pantry.
An initiative of KHS counselor Ruth Pangelinan, the pantry aims to provide students “with a variety of items that they may need in and outside of school.”
“Thank you so much to our senators and representative for their donations,” Pangelinan said. “A lot of the items they donated are what the students requested,” she added.
The pantry is for the KHS students, she said, and the items it provides are “100% free.”
For his part, KHS Principal Ben Jones Jr. said they are thankful to Deleon Guerrero, Magofna and Yangetmai as well as their office staff for seeing the students’ message and responding to it.
The students and KHS, he added, are very appreciative, “and this is something that we are going to be forever grateful for.”
Deleon Guerrero said they saw a flyer regarding the KHS pantry.
“So, I gave them some supplies and Senator Magofna and Representative Yangetmai also donated some goods. We are very happy to help some kids with whatever little money we have,” the Senate president said.
