This is a slight increase compared to Spring 2009, when 125 graduated from NMC.
“We are looking forward to our 30th commencement ceremony where graduates will be celebrating their hard work and great accomplishments,” NMC interim President Lorraine T. Cabrera said.
The ceremony will be held on May 22 at the Marianas High School gymnasium.
Two awards will be given for student leadership and academic achievement.
The graduating class has selected former NMC instructor Samuel McPhetres as its keynote speaker.
The 2010 Commencement Ceremony’s slogan is “Navigating Through Obstacles, Guided by Knowledge, Destined for Success.”
“We are very proud of our graduating students,” said Cabrera. “They successfully overcome challenges throughout their educational careers and we are extremely honored to be participating in the celebration of their achievements.”
NMC said there will be 18 graduates for the bachelor of science in elementary education program; 37, associate degree in liberal arts; 5, associate in nursing program; 2, business; 19, associate degree in business administration; 3, associate degree in criminal justice; and 1 each for associate degree in audio/video production as well as the certificate programs for nursing assistant and computer applications.
