Over the weekend, a flyer in English and in Chinese was posted in Chinatown, offering a reward of “$20000 or more” for information regarding the whereabouts of “this guy with car [who] was lost on june 7 2010 at garapan chinatown.”
It added, “Any person who can provide information leading to the discovery of this guy we will reward $20000 or more, No question ask. thank you for your calling!!!”
Two phone numbers were listed.
One was turned off when contacted by this reporter while the individual who answered the second phone number claimed to be a police officer and said the phone number is for a company on Guam.
Variety has learned that Li is the manager of King’s Disco on Beach Road Garapan, and not a taxi driver as earlier reported to the police.
An employee of the adjacent Rainbow Nightclub said he saw Li last week. He declined to provide other details.
Li’s vehicle, a silver 2004 Toyota Corolla with license plate number ADJ 932, is now at the DPS impound lot after it was recovered by investigators in the parking lot outside the former Shirley’s Restaurant on Middle Road.
