29th Flame Tree Arts Festival details to be finalized this week

“Maybe by the end of the week the final details will be available,” he said.

The Arts Council is considering three possible venues for April festival — American Memorial Park, the Garapan Fishing Base or the Civic Center in Susupe, which has been the site of the event for the past few years.

The festival, which was previously held at American Memorial Park, is considered as Micronesia’s largest annual arts and cultural celebration.

It has always drawn thousands of tourists and participants from neighboring islands who want to enjoy the visual, performing and culinary arts of the various cultures in Micronesia and Asia-Pacific.

Thousands of visitors and locals visited the booths, food stalls and the daily programs during the 28th Flame Tree Arts Festival last year.

The Arts Council is expecting to have more participants and visitors this year.
