The donation was facilitated by the CNMI’s Guam Medical Referral Office and Pacific Biomedical Service Inc., he added.
The donated items also include two ultra sound machines, 23 vital signs monitors, one linen warmer, one blood bank refrigerator, four hospital beds, four patient bedside monitors, and one telemetry system.
Villagomez said the donated equipment and supplies will be distributed to the Commonwealth Health Center, the Rota Health Center, and the Tinian Health Center.
The distribution, he said, will depend on the needs of the health centers.
CHC facility administrator John Flores said “due to the financial difficulties our government is facing, these donations will be of great help to our hospital.”
He said the donated items are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The only cost the Department of Public Health will incur is the freight charge, he added.
“Although the items are not brand new, they were all screened and are in good working condition,” Flores said.
