3 hilarious nights of ‘A Christmas Carol’

The production “brought the house down” as the  cast of disaster-prone actors tried to keep things from going wrong.

The cast included Diane Esplin who played the role of Phoebe Reece, MariLou Conner who played the role of Thelma Greenwood, (she also played Santa and Ebeneezer Scrooge), Susan Fishman-Tudor who played the role of the elderly and somewhat demented Mercedes Oire-Hippleworth, and Hal Easton who played Gordon, a half-wit who is also the cast’s lone male character.

Esplin is a registered dietician for 20 years and currently works for St. Jude Renal Care Facility as a renal dietician. She has performed in other FOA productions.

Conner, the secretary of FOA, has lived on Saipan for the past 10 years and has been on stage for various plays.

Fishman-Tudor, president of FOA, is a park ranger at American Memorial Park.

She has performed in community theaters in New Jersey and in several plays here on Saipan.

Easton is an accomplished actor, director and producer who has staged several plays and musicals.

Lyndsay Esplin, an 8th grader at Saipan Community School, played the role of Felicity Swinge, a snowman who performed her duties with enthusiasm.

Melanie Choe, a 5th grader at Whispering Palms School, performed the role of Maureen Inglemore, the Ghost of Christmas Present.

The play was directed by Linda Wingenbach while the line producer was Susan Fishman-Tudor

Off-stage voices belonged to Rozette Dunao, Darren John E. Cajipo, Patrick Llaban, Ken Manalo, Winefredo Roldan and Andrew Villanueva.
