The new hires are from “U.S. jurisdictions,” he said. Their positions are described as “direct responsible charge,” or DRC, and indicates experience in a supervisory capacity.
Their contracts are expected to be completed by Dec. 31 and they will report for work 60 days after, he added.
Based on their reorganization plan, CUC Executive Director Abe Utu Malae said they evaluated the compensation levels of personnel.
They also reviewed the staffing levels to determine whether CUC has too many or too few employees to perform certain tasks, he added.
Malae said they likewise updated the position descriptions for all employees to accurately explain what they are required to do.
Cepeda said they have yet to determine how many personnel will be included in the salary adjustment.
