
SUPERIOR Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo has sentenced five individuals to jail time for driving under the influence of alcohol, and fined two individuals for reckless driving.
Risty Redyleave, who pled guilty to a third DUI charge, was sentenced to a year in prison but all suspended except for 30 days. He was given credit for 24 hours of time served and was ordered to report to the Department of Corrections on March 30 at 6 p.m. He will be released on April 29 at 5 p.m.
Judge Govendo also ordered Redyleave to pay a fine of $1,000 and revoked his driver’s license for one year, starting on March 25. Redyleave will be placed on probation for two years and required to perform 80 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay $265 in probation fees and court costs.
Renxing Li, who was convicted of his first DUI, will serve three days in jail beginning on March 26 at 10 a.m. Li, who was given 24 hours of credit for time served, will be released today at 10 a.m.
Li was ordered to pay a fine of $500. His driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and he was placed on probation for one year. Li will perform 40 hours of community work and pay $145 in probation fees and court costs.
Eddie Ray Goynes was convicted of his first DUI and sentenced to four days in jail beginning on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. He will be released today at 2:30 p.m. Goynes was given credit for 24 hours of time served.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of $500 and his driver’s license will be suspended for 30 days. He will be placed on one year of probation and required to perform 40 hours of community service. Goynes will also pay $145 in probation fees and court costs.
Daniel Jake Kaipat was convicted of his first DUI and will serve four days in jail beginning April 5 at 8 a.m. He will be released from Corrections on April 8 at 8 a.m. He was given credit for 24 hours of time served.
Kaipat was ordered to pay a $500 fine and his driver’s license was revoked for six months. He will be placed on one year of probation and required to perform 40 hours of community service. Kaipat was also ordered to pay $6,800 in restitution to the Department of Public Works and $145 in probation fees and court costs.
Nathaniel Manangan was convicted of his first DUI and will serve three days in jail beginning April 25 at 8 p.m. He will be released from Corrections on April 27 at 8 p.m. He was given credit for 24 hours of time served.
Manangan will pay a $500 fine and be placed on one year of probation. He will also perform 40 hours of community service and pay $145 in probation fees and court costs.
Reckless driving
Devon T. Cabrera pled guilty to reckless driving. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine and his driver’s license was suspended for 30 days starting on Tuesday.
Cabrera is placed on six months of probation, and will pay $85 in probation fees and court costs.
Gap Soo Kim, who pled guilty to reckless driving, was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine. His driver’s license was suspended for 30 days beginning on Tuesday.
Kim was placed on six months of probation and was required to perform 60 hours of community service. He will also pay $85 in probation fees and court costs.
