SEVEN new Division of Fish and Wildlife enforcement officers were sworn in by Superior Court Judge Joseph N. Camacho at the Guma’ Hustisia on Monday.
They are Philip Moses Kalen, Ignacio Itibus Yiftheg, John Henry Tagabuel, Roland Rodney Igisomar, Marvin Peter Laniyo Tebit, Argenon Agulto Flores, and Jelani Sablan Tilipao.
The division falls under the Department of Lands and Natural Resources, whose secretary, Sylvan Igisomar, said the additional enforcement officers will assist with permit issuance.
The agency now has a total of 14 enforcement officers, he added.
According to Igisomar, the agency is also set to launch a public education campaign on environmental and natural resources regulations.
“This increase in personnel strengthens and improves the enforcement of natural resources laws,” he said.
The new enforcement officers come from various law enforcement agencies, Variety learned.
