(PSS) — 120 seniors graduated from Kagman High School — the Home of the Ayuyus — at the American Memorial Park amphitheater on Friday afternoon, May 30, 2025.
The class valedictorian was Jayda Isis Lizama Norita, who received the Board of Education Academic Excellence Award from BOE Chairman Aschumar Kodep Ogumoro-Uludong, BOE Secretary/Treasurer Antonio L. Borja, BOE members Andrew L. Orsini and Maisie B. Tenorio
The class salutatorian was Pia Helen Edangel Sablan Ngewakl, who received the Commissioner of Education Academic Excellence Award from Commissioner of Education Dr. Lawrence F. Camacho and other PSS officials.
The rest of the 10 graduates were: (3) Eric Manglona Pangelinan II, (4) Evangeline Carla Aldan Taitingfong, (5) Jayden Jean Kawai Pangelinan, (6) Keaulei Paula Rosario Deleon Guerrero, (7) Kaitlyn Nantsumi Ishida Aguon, (8) Ha’ni Breeze Rios Salas, (9) Brandon James Seman Sablan, and (10) Vickeyo Marisse Concepcion Quitugua.
The Principal’s awardee was Ellieyn No’elani Aguon-Presto while the Perfect Attendance Award went to Soulynna Sabeth Santos Camacho.
The Female Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Pia Helen Edangel Sablan Ngewakl, while the Male Athlete of the Year awardee was Austin John Sablan Diaz.
The Ayuyu Spirit Award went to Lyandra Divine Igitol Ngiraked.
Other awards
Five other awards were presented during the graduation ceremony. The Governor’s Award went to Jayda Isis Lizama Norita while the Lieutenant Governor’s Award was jointly presented to Pia Hele Edangel Sablan Ngewakl and Dezerae Jose Lampha Camacho.
Evangeline Carla Aldan Taitingfong received the PTSA Award while the Mayor’s Award went to Davin Zachary Camacho Nekaifes.
The Outstanding Female Graduate Award went to the class valedictorian, Jayda Isis Lizama Norita.
Unforgettable
The class valedictorian and salutatorian delivered a joint address.
Norita said, “That legacy lives in every smile we’ve shared, every challenge we’ve faced, and every moment we’ve made unforgettable,”
She expressed hope that her fellow graduates would carry this legacy far beyond the confines of their school. “That legacy is ours, and it will carry us far beyond these walls,” she said.
Ngewakl said: “If there’s one thing we’ve built together, it’s a legacy.”
“It is how we showed up for each other, in the way we care, supported, and reminded one another that even the toughest days had light,” she said.

With Kagman High School administrators, Gov. Arnold I. Palacios presented the Governor’s Leadership Award to class valedictorian Jayda Isis Lizama Norita.
Salutatorian Pia Hele Edangel Sablan Ngewakl is one of the two recipients of the Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Award, which was presented by Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang.
Dezerae Jose Lampha Camacho is the other recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Award.
The Mayor’s Award went to Davin Zachary Camacho Nekaifes, who received the honor from Saipan Mayor RB Camacho.
The Outstanding Female Graduate Award went to class valedictorian Jayda Isis Lizama Norita.
