To give other interested participants a chance to join, they extended the deadline for the submission of applications to April 29, said Seman, this year’s Liberation Queen committee chairwoman.
She said Anna Mendiola, who is assisting her in the program for the pageant, distributed more applications at Marianas High School.
Applications are also available for pick up at the mayor’s office at the Afetnas building in San Antonio during working hours, Seman said.
Larissa Flores, concession committee chairwoman, said they will start distributing booth applications from May 1 to 30.
There will be no “Beer Garden” or an exclusive booth for alcoholic beverages this year, Variety was told.
But all vendors and concessionaires are allowed to sell beverages provided they get a permit from the Alcohol, Beverage & Tobacco Control Division of the Department of Commerce.
To reduce its expenses, the Liberation Day committee decided to rent 20 x 40 tents for vendors instead of constructing wooden booths for them, Variety learned.
Liberation Day committee chairman Jonas Barcinas earlier announced the site for this year’s Liberation Day parade and other events will be in Koblerville near the fire station.
However, during the committee’s recent meeting, the members decided to once again designate the Garapan Fishing Base as the site for this year’s festivities.
