A. Samoa apologizes for beating death of Vanuatu man

The apology was outlined in a letter Sunia personally presented to Vanuatu President Kalkot Matas Kelekele on Friday.

The Vanuatu president was among the 1,200 passengers onboard the cruise ship Pacific Dawn that docked in Pago Pago.

The victim Jimmy Brown Leo was beaten to death near the Veterans Stadium in Pago Pago. Two young men have been charged in connection with the death. Their case is pending in high court.
