ABOUT 100 children received gifts from the Saipan Cubs Alpha Leo Club at the Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center on Saturday.
Accompanied by their parents, the children also participated in various fun activities before they wrote down their wishes on cards, which they then hung on a Christmas tree.
Arnel Josh V. Coloma, the club president, said their goal is to reach out to the youth and to advocate for them. He said they want to let the CNMI youth know that they are never alone, “and we are here for them.”
Coloma said the gift-giving event also gave the youth the opportunity to come together and enjoy the spirit of Christmas.
He said he felt great because of this year’s turnout. “We got a big crowd,” Coloma said, adding that parents were also pleased with the event.
