Chief prosecutor Kevin A. Lynch filed charges against three individuals who hit the same victim on Dec. 25, 2007.
Ramon Iba Castro was charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault and battery.
Castro threatened to hit a victim with a 2×4 piece of wood, and punched and kicked the victim, the AGO stated.
Castro’s co-defendant Joseph Ayuyu Imperial was also charged with two separate counts of assault and battery for hitting and throwing unopened cans of beer which hit the same victim in the chest, arms, nose and right eye, and for punching and kicking the victim.
The third defendant in the case, Antonio Castro Dela Cruz, is facing a separate charge for assault and battery for punching and kicking the same victim.
The three defendants are ordered to appear in court at 9 a.m. on Nov. 10.
Facing charges for one count of assault and battery with sexual contact is Jesse Manuale Iguel Norita of Tanapag.
Norita was accused of inappropriately touching a girl while she was sleeping on Oct. 3, 2008.
Bernardo Pedro Reyes, 20, is facing charges of two separate counts of assault and battery.
According to the information filed in court by the AGO, the defendant hit and caused bodily harm to his girlfriend by punching her and throwing an open can of beer at her left ear on Oct. 12, 2008. He was also accused of hitting her right eye with his elbow.
Another defendant who is facing one count of assault and battery is 45-year-old Jose Osomai Litulumar.
The defendant is charged with punching Paul Freeman Lee in the jaw on Feb. 1 last year.
Litulumar was also charged with one count of disturbing the peace by depriving the victim his right to peace and quiet.
The defendants are asked to report to the court at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17 to answer the charges against them. Failure to do so could result in the application for the issuance of a warrant of arrest. The defendants are also entitled to avail of the services of an appointed lawyer if they cannot afford to get one.
