AGO files charges vs 2 individuals

Chief Prosecutor Kevin A. Lynch filed an information against 40-year-old Bertha A. Villagomez of Tinian for one count of assault and battery. The information stated that the defendant stuck and beat  Joyce Ann Atalig Omar on Dec. 30, 2007.

Charles Lynn Rupurei, 27, of Dandan was charged with two separate counts for assault and battery. He was accused of unlawfully hitting and beating Conrad Teaum Suda and Police Officer Regino Mendiola Celis on Aug. 11, 2008.

He was also charged with  resisting arrest by obstructing law enforcement officers Celis and Anthony Macaranas; assault for inflicting bodily harm on Faithful Esikar Mendiola; and disturbing the peace for annoying Suda, Mendiola and Ngirarsoal MacGyver Suda.

The court ordered Villagomez to appear in a hearing scheduled for Feb. 13. Rupurei’s hearing was set for Feb. 9.

The summons stated that if the defendants do not appear on the scheduled dates, an application may be made for an issuance of a warrant of arrest.

Both defendants are entitled to be represented by a lawyer, but if they cannot afford to hire one, they are entitled to the services of a appointed lawyer free of charge by contacting the Office of Probation.
