Angelray’s mother, Vicky Guerrero, told the Variety yesterday that the boxes of clothing and toys are for children and adults served by the Victim’s Advocacy Office and the Division of Youth Services.
Guerrero said that the donation was part of her son’s project with Hawaii State Rep. Glenn Wakai under the Reach Out Pacific, a nonprofit organization.
Guerrero said they also donated 15 pallets of college journals to Northern Marianas College last month.
She said the donated journals, also from Reach Out Pacific, are already with the NMC.
Last year, the 15-year-old Angelray helped secure donations to the Commonwealth Health Center and the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library.
“We just look at the directory and check what agencies we will make donations to,” she said.
They are now working on getting donations for Karidat and the Juvenile Delinquency Office, she added.
Angelray, who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, has been praised by CNMI leaders for finding ways to improve the lives of other young people despite his health problems.
