“The outcome of today’s event meant so much to everyone involved. Our parents, guardians and guest were able to see the LISS Tiger pride when coming together for a festive event such as this. We have grown substantially as a school and our performances showed exactly what we are capable of doing,” stated Wayne Pangelinan, LISS director.
During this period, LISS successfully invited students from abroad in its education-tourism program, totaling 24 students to date with additional numbers expected in a few weeks time.
“The education-tourism aspect we are developing has so much potential and LISS is at the forefront of building this for the CNMI,” Pangelinan said.
The students from abroad participated, immersed and involved themselves into the program.
“Building confidence and spirit is one aspect of LISS’ true character,” said Susan Satur, LISS teacher.
The school program showcased a variety of performances from dance routines in groups, the school wide performance of the 12 days of Christmas and a few numbers of vocalization singing “Feliz Navidad.”
“We are a small institution with bigger dreams for everyone, our faculty takes that extra step to ensure we reach out to our students, this program proved our strength cohesively,” said Pangelinan.
LISS is offering its winter afternoon programs on leadership, science, research and presentation and computer programming from Jan. 5 to March 31, 2009.
