The large west swell generated by a monsoon surge in the Philippine Sea has caused combined seas to build to small craft advisory heights.
Seas are expected to subside below advisory heights by Monday evening.
A small craft advisory for hazardous seas is in effect until 6 p.m. today.
Inos is strongly advising the general public to avoid venturing near exposed reefs and beaches, especially those along west facing reefs where rip currents will be life-threatening.
