Dr. Dirk Spennemann, associate professor of cultural heritage management at Charles Sturt University, said he will be arriving on Saipan on Aug. 6 and will stay until Aug. 13.
Spennemann said he will not be conducting a photography workshop during this visit but he will be working on a special photography project, and attend the teachers institute on Tinian and Rota.
During his visit here in February last year, Spennemann conducted a three-week community photography project for high school students hosted by the NMI Humanities Council through partial funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The participants submitted their photos to an exhibit/contest at the CNMI Museum at the end of the workshop.
The winning photos and the other submissions are showcased at http://myplacecnmi.org.
