This is part of a bigger initiative to bring Chinese and Russian tourists to Guam. The administration’s overall mission is to boost tourism and investment ahead of the military buildup, according to a press release.
“This is the first executive-level mission to Japan, our number one key market by far,” Guam Visitors Bureau General Manager Joann Camacho said.
Tenorio and his wife Naoko Shimizu are scheduled to meet with telecommunications and information technology companies interested in investing on Guam and other companies to help promote tourism and attract foreign investment.
