Casino marketing and promotions manager Chell Funtanar said most of the players who had confirmed participation were from Japan.
“Some adjustments to that number can still be expected because there are always last-minute cancellations or confirmations,” Funtanar said.
A prize pool of up to $100,000 is at stake.
The entry fee is $1,000 inclusive of two nights deluxe hotel accommodation, exclusive “invitation only” cocktail party, meals, tournament beverages, and airfare reimbursement.
