All Bank of Hawaii branches in Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Saipan and Palau will accept donations. Donations of cash and checks may be dropped off during business hours at any Bank of Hawaii branch. Checks should be made payable to “American Red Cross.”
Peter Ho, Bank of Hawaii chairman and CEO, said, “Bank of Hawaii would like to express its deepest sympathy to all of the earthquake and tsunami victims. We are pleased to be a part of this relief effort to assist people in Japan. We encourage the people of the Pacific Islands to come into any Bank of Hawaii branch and make a contribution to help Japan recover from this devastation.”
Additionally, Bank of Hawaii Foundation will donate $100,000 to Japan relief efforts.
