Tellers doing transactions with clients at first ignored the sound but when it continued for a few more minutes, the management asked all the people in the building to immediately leave.
BOG employees who gathered outside the building said it was the first time they heard their fire alarm in the many years that they have worked for the bank.
Clients who were also asked to vacate the building as a precautionary measure were surprised by the incident.
