Initially, he said Saipan will be getting $1,000 for the scholarship program.
The fund is only minimal since this was generated from the association members’ annual dues, he added.
The scholarship program will each award Saipan, Tinian and Rota a $1,000 scholarship grant.
Camacho just returned from Guam after attending the meeting of the Marianas mayors, vice mayors and council members.
At the meeting, he said he was able to convince the association to hold its assembly in November on Saipan.
The assembly will be held in time for the Agricultural Summit, he added.
